Chelsea secures record deal

Lesley Ugochukwu vacated number 16, and Andrey Santos‘ move to Manchester United freed up number 17. Number 26, historically worn by John Terry, has been taken by central defenders such as Levi Colwill and Kalidou Koulibaly in recent times.
Rogers‘ transfer marks him as the seventh former Manchester City youth player to sign for Chelsea since the club’s new takeover. The deal for Rogers is expected to be finalised early next week, pending a successful medical on Monday.
